It's a very different situation but my fiance and I are leaving empty seats with roses for our loved ones who have passed on. As for the father daughter dance, I would maybe suggest that if he had a favorite song, you let it play for maybe 30 seconds with an empty dance floor and then invite guests onto the floor. It's never an easy situation but good luck with your decision
