Default Re: Doing it all without a planner

Hi fallbride08. I guess you can call me fallbride10 lol. I am also planning an autumn outdoor wedding in October....but for 2010. Here are some ideas that I've come up with for my big day. Feel free to use any of these.
Decorating I'm keeping pretty simple because I will be doing it all myself. I plan on getting corn stalks to decorate the entrances of the pavillion. Bails of hay with pumpkins, mums and baskets of gords to place on top. I want to get some white pumkins as well and try Martha Stewart's idea - drill holes into the pumpkins and take a set of white miniture lights, poking a light through each hole. I think it's going to look awesome for a night wedding. The pavillion where we're going to have the reception already has white mini lights all around it, but I want to also entwine artificial strands of fall leaves around all the posts. Centerpieces will be hollowed out pumpkins with an array of autumn flowers such as sunflowers, wheat and cat nine tails. I really can't think of any other flower that will go well with those, so if you have any ideas on that, let me know. As far as colors, I'm going with orange/copper and brown. I'm going to try and find copperish dresses for my girls and the brown will be for a top table covering and accent things like that. I'd like to find some kind of brown sheer fabric to tie around each chair, and tie a sunflower and stem of wheat into each bow. The favors are just going to be clear boxes filled with red, orange, yellow and brown M&Ms. My name is Mandy and fiance's name is Marc, hense the M&M thing lol. That's pretty much all the ideas thus far. Hope it sparks something for you.
