I am walking in on my own...But its more for the reason that this is my second marriage and I'm not really being "given away" this time. I am also much more distant from my father than I was 7 years ago and it wouldn't feel right this time around.
I think you should first run it past your mom and if she doesn't think she could do it, get suggestions from her. If there is someone else, like a brother or grandfather or uncle that you are close to, one of them would be good. If not, there is absolutely nothing wrong with making an entrance on your own.
