We sent out about 65 invites and I only got about half of them by the 'reply by' date. Wedding is in 9 days and I still am missing about 20 of them... The ones that didn't send a card back, I pretty much knew what the reply will be anyway, but those who didn't I just gave a call to. Even my mom didn't send hers back cause she didn't look at what the date was on the card!
I'd say if you're really worried that they got messed up in the mail, that you should give a call to people... But a week late on the replies isn't something to worry about yet (unfortunately some people just don't understand the importance of it). When you need to get numbers to your caterer, then you need to start harassing people!
