Default Re: i need some help

I'm actually starting my diet tomorrow! lol I've tried to go on diets before but I have never stuck with them. I am really determined this time. I bought a scale and plan to weight myself once a week (just like on the Biggest Loser). I made a chart and wrote down every single Sunday (weight in day) from tomorrow's date all the way until the last Sunday before my wedding next year (wedding is 09-04-09). Each Sunday I plan on recording my weight on this chart and then at the end of each month, calculate how much I've lost. Though I would like to lose more, my goal to lose before the wedding would be 75 lbs. which is only 5 lbs. a month. So, I'm really hoping I can pull it off. I just think keeping track of what I lose will be helpfull to me. I also plan on keeping a diet journel, where I will write down what times I eat and exactly what I eat each and every day. That way if I'm not losing like weight I can look back and make some changes to see what works. I'll also use the journal to write down an entry every day ~ like my thoughts and frustrations. I think that will also help me to stay on track if I can vent. As far as my actual diet, I plan on cutting out starches, buying and eating more fresh vegetables rather than frozen (cause believe it or not, some frozen veggies have calories and sodium), cutting out red meat and eating more fish, of course eating more fruit as well. All I currently drink is diet coke, so I plan on drinking ALOT more water and maybe treating myself to 1 can of diet coke a day versus my 8 cans a day now. Another change I know I personally need to make is actually eating breakfast. All I have now is my cup of coffee, I rarely eat in the morning. And I know that is very important in healthy living. I plan on having things like fresh fruit, nonfat yogert, fresh fruit and yogert smoothies, a small bowl of healthy cereal....things like that. I also sat down the other day and made lists for each meal of the day of things I think are healthy. My fiance' and I plan on taking a 30 minute walk every day after dinner too. Hope my plan helps you out. Keep me updated! It's good to know someone else is doing this too.
