Re: How much is everyone spending on their dress?
I originally planned to spend up to $750 on my dress, but ended up spending MUCH LESS! I'm not sure why I started looking for wedding dresses online, but I did. I think it's because I am not near any friends and family and was kind of down about trying on dresses alone. I found a site called Recycle Your Wedding and began looking at the auction items. Some of the items are new and others are old.
I can't believe I bought my dress for $127.50 + $25 for shipping. It's new and still has the tags on it! I swear it's the truth! I bid on the dress and won! It's a dress that I'd already saved as a favorite on David's site. Here is the link to the dress. Recycle Your Wedding, LLC - Buy from Brides! Sell to Brides! It's the actual auction with a picture of the dress.
NO, THIS IS NOT A SPAM MESSAGE! I'm just passing on what worked for me.
All I can say is the Lord is really looking out for me. He makes provisions well beyond what I can imagine and pray for - all the time. Including bringing the man of my dreams into my life.
The dress arrived today and fits almost glove-like. I couldn't be happier. I'm a bit teary-eyed right now, so I'll stop typing. LOL!
I forgot to add one thing. We're getting married twice - once privately (8/8/08) and once for family (8/8/09), so the cost of the dress breaks down to $76.25 per wedding. Wee hoo! If that's not dirt cheap, I don't know what is!
