I agree with the others...it depends on your relationships with your family and friends...and you do need some private time...like a honeymoon cottage!
My husband and I were married in the Smokey Mountains. We had 46 of our closest family and friends with us. It was a great time for all. We had our own honeymoon cabin, but we spent the entire weekend(Labor Day Weedend 2004) with our guests.
We enjoyed sightseeing, meals and sitting around a big outdoor fireplace visiting the night away.
We would not have changed a thing.
