You could probably start off by sending out save the date cards, letting everyone know that you have decided on a wedding date. You could also get some engagement party invitations and send to close friends and family that could attend the engagement party. I would send them to the ones that wont have to travel a long ways to attend the party. That way it gives the parents a chance to meet before the wedding if they havent already.
