Smile Re: What is the best way to sell an engagement ring after a divorce?

Well, the best way to get rid of an engagement or even an old wedding ring during a divorce is to first have it appraised. But if that's going to cost money never mind. I don't know what area of the country you are in, but I know where i live there is a place called Unclaimed Diamonds. They accept pre-purchased jelwery, appriase it and give you what they think it's worth. They then have it re-sold to someone else in their store at a discount price. Also have you tried putting an ad in your local news paper? Try going around to a few different jelwery stores that specialize in your type of jelwery and ask them for their opinion. Then you can sell the ring to the highest bidder. Also, what about any local auctions that purchase jelwery. Importantly, you should do some research online and find out the real worth of your engagement ring. Pawn shops are always willing to but these too. But they will try to get away with only giving you half of what it's really worth. I hope this was helpful. Please let me know.
