Post early bachelorette party?

My wedding date is in december, but with my college school schedule, which is very hectic, only allows me to have my bachelorette party several months before the wedding. My close girlfriends want to go to Vegas, but is it ok to have a bachelorette party 6 months before the actual wedding?

When my MOH got married in May last year we had her party at the beginning of February. It just worked out better with everyone's schedule. I know I would like to have mine earlier. We are getting married in October but with my job, I won't have any free time after July. You want to be able to enjoy it so you need to do it when it works well for you!

If you're going to Vegas, you've got to have who ever is planning the party send out cool invitations! I found some AWESOME stuff on Invitations by Dawn. It has all sorts of funky Vegas-themed stuff.

Have your party whenever it works for you. Gettin_Hitched is right, you've got to do it when you have the time to enjoy it. The closer I get to my wedding date, the less free time I have!

Good luck!

You can it whenver you want and actually I like the idea of having it sooner. For my friends her's was 3 months before and with chipping in for everything, it was easier on my pocket this way. Then I didn't have to worry about the wedding present cost on top of the party cost. It does make it finacially easier for everyone coming speacially if they're throwing in for fees for the party. And I think it was easier on her as the bride to have it earlier to. Then it was said and done and soemthing she got to check of her list. Do what you want. And Vegas sounds like fun and you should enjoy it whenever you want to go!!

I actually think an early bachelorette party is a way better option anyway. Traditionally the bachelor and bachelorette parties were held the night before (or at least the week before) the actual wedding. But do you really want to be hungover right before your wedding?

The whole point of the bachelorette party is to have some fun. Tradition aside, you should have the bachelorette party whenever is most convenient for you!

I don't think there's anything wrong with having the party months before the wedding. I'm having mine a month before (this Saturday actually!) because that's what worked best with everyone's schedule. I'd rather have it early than to not have anyone able to show up

Ther's nothing wrong with having it early. I had mine a month early and I am gled that I have this month 'hangover free' to get the last minute things done.
