Question OUR son's place in the ceremony?

We want our son to have a special part in the wedding ceremony. However, we've opted to not have flower girl and ring bearer and we feel he is too young (age 4) to be the best man, so we are stuck. Does anyone have any ideas?

UPDATE
We have decided to have our mothers light our individual candles during the unity candle portion of the ceremony. I too will light a single candle for Lukas (our son) then, all 3 of us (bride, groom and son) will light the large unity candle together.
Thanks for all the help and ideas!

Maybe you could do a sand ceremony and have three different colored sands and you could each pour a different colored sand into a vase. That would be something he could be a part of and a keepsake you'd have for the rest of your lives.
