Default Unity Candle Alternatives??

Does anyone have any ideas for the unity ceremony? I know about the unity candle and sand ceremony, but I want something different and cute.

I wanted an alternative to the unity candle also, so we have decided to do a rose ceremony instead.

I'm doing san-san-kudo. (which means 3x3=9)

"Popularly called san-san-kudo, this ritual can be performed any number of ways, depending on your family's custom. The groom may lead, taking three sips from the first cup, followed by the bride, who also takes three sips from the first cup. Then they move on to the second and third cups. The sake is then offered to the couple's families."

"During the ceremony, the couple exchanged the san-san-kudo sake sips. San means three. Three is an indivisible number, and it is considered a sacred number in Buddhism. By exchanging the nuptial sake sips, this three time three, they are now happily united. Nine means triple happiness.
But just as the san-san-kudo sake sips may not be altogether delicious, the couple's marriage life may not always be delightful, but they will have to overcome their hardships with the co-operative spirit of the san-san-kudo."

I'm doing a beach wedding so we're pouring sand together instead of lighting a unity candle. It's cute because once you pour the sand together, it can't separate! Some people do colored sand too because it symbolizes your individual-ness (is that a word?) but you also are meshed together forever!

Hi,
When my friend got married she too wanted something special. So, he poured red wine and she pourde white wine into a clear crystal flute and both drank the pink wine.
I thought it was very creative.
