I'm finding that programs are crazy expensive. Anyone know of a place to order them from that has reasonlable prices? I'm game for DYI but I thought I would exhaust all other possibilities first:confused. I just can't see paying $400+ for programs that will be used for 30 minutes (we have a short ceremony and a huge guest list).

Do you have a budget in mind? What is the size of your guest list? You could always pick up some heavy card stock and print your own (make sure your home printer can handle the weight you choose). Print your own will be cheaper. Here's a few blank wedding programs at Annsbridalbargains.com. If you want printed, expect to pay quite a bit more. Here's a few at theFrontDoor.com that aren't terrible in price that also have a nice style: Printed Wedding Programs.

Just remember, you dont have to have a program for each guest. Alot of the time, a couple only takes one program. Or if the ceremony is not in the same place as the reception, some guest (unfortunately just attend the reception) You dont want to make/order too many. A good rule of thumb is have as many programs as invitations you sent out.... add a few extra for good measure. Too be sure, have an usher/groomsman/ etc. be in charge and hand them out.
If you are into DIY you can do something simple as taking white or ivory cardstock - cut it in half length wise (staples. office max can cut the paper for a small fee), type your ceremony info on one side and the other info you want on the other side, dress it up with a design, ribbon, or even scrapbooking embellishments to coordinate with your wedding. I have a few samples of programs on my website to view... I got my programs at E-Church Depot. They have all kinds of bullitins/programs and there is 100 in a pack for $5 dollars and up (they are cute & cheap). Even though it is a church store, there are ones that are not religious. (You have to print the inside but I figured that I would just run mine through the photocopier after I wrote one.) They have 89 different ones to chose from and if I remember correctly the shipping was not expensive either. To look at them go toWedding
Hope this helps! |

Hey! I also don't want to pay a lot for programs! I got my programs at Michaels - reg 100 for 39.99, but I went on a day where I had 50% off coupon for one item and got 100 for 21.99 after tax and all. I didn't get in a rush to get all my programs so I just waited for all the coupons - so I ended up getting 300 programs at 21.99 for each 100. I have not decieded if I will take the time to print myself or take to a printer to do it. I figure after ink cost and all I could get a printer to do it for the same price or cheaper.
But as far as programs or most any other thing you will need - Remember to coupon shop!!! |

I'll be making my own off of directions I got online. It said to print out on special paper, fold in half, take a whole punch and at the folded line punch out two wholes and tie a ribbon on it. I tested one out and it looke absolutely beautiful. If your interested I can send you the link.
