Default Two dads one Bride

Hi Ladies
I need help I have a dad and a stepdad. My stepdad is my father the one who has taken care of me my whole life and is paying for most of the wedding. My dad is contributing some money but around 1/2 of what my stepdad is contributing. Of course all sorts of family members have their ideas of who should walk me down the isle but, I am not sure what to do any ideas ladies?

not sure how civil your dad and step-dad are, but you could have one on each arm. Another idea is to walk down the aisle alone so as not to hurt either one's feelings.

Just recently had a friends daught with the same situation...she walked down the aisle with both gave them each a kiss on the cheek as they gave her away...and that was that! Now her dad's family was havng a fit cause she kissed her stepdad first, but that was their problem. So childish.
Hope you have a relationship where you can use this option...Best of luck!

Thanks ladies I think both of them will escort me and I agree if any one has a problem with that it would be childish. But how do I tell my dad that my step dad is also walking me down the aisle and vice versa they do not like each other.

I would just explain to each of them that they both mean a lot to you and you couldn't decide who would walk you down the aisle so you are asking both of them. Hopefully they are mature enough to put aside their dislike for eachother for your one day. Hopefully all works out for you

This is insane, I am on the EXACT same situation! My dad & SD hate each other!
I still haven't made a decision. I have even considered walking alone or having my brother walk me just to avoid he problem?

What did you end up deciding?

Unhappy Re: Two dads one Bride

Well the decision currently is to have them both walk me down the aisle one on both side. But I am afraid to tell everyone this. Who isn’t going to be mad? My mom, dad, step-dad, step-mom, grandparents, and aunts and uncles are going to be MAD… but somebody is going to be mad no matter what I do.

What about having one them walk you half way and the other walk you the rest of the way? Or one gives you away and the other gets the father daughter dance?

But really I think the best is probably to have them both walk you down the asile.

If everyone is going to mad you could just walk yourself down.

Yes, someone will be upset and I am sorry for my language but **** it, it is YOUR day and if they can't compromise and set aside their own feeling because they all love you and want you to be happy then they are just plain selfish!!!

Thanks for all the support ladies I am going to try and find the nerve to tell them on father’s day I will just write it in their cards. Plus that is still like over 2 months before the wedding so hopefully I can smooth any ruffled feathers by then.
Wish me luck
