I am guessing you mean this September? or 2008? I would look in the phone book for all bridal places in your area. The just set a time a side ot go try them on! try on a bunch to see what style you want. take some one with you if you can so they can give you opinions. Remeber if it is this September you will also need time for fittings which takes a while depending on where you go.

Hi
I faced the same problem at the time of my wedding. I tried a lot of things, nothing worked. I visited some so called wedding gown specialists, they were even worse. I was desperate for the right guys to get that dream dress. When nothing worked, I tried to look for options online. Bingo! I found a site that provides complete list of all the wedding dress specialists anywhere in US. Besides that I got some great tips which worked like magic. I had a dream wedding and nobody stopped gushing about, guess what, my dress. I suggest you to visit this site to look total smashing bride. The site is ALTERATIONS.COM. And best of luck for your marriage life. Jolly Timberlake Custom Tailoring |

Yeah, go online to research as many gowns as possible - until you can't even stand looking at them anymore
Then, when you gather back your strenght.., find out about bridal stores in your area. And, guess what, look at even more dresses.. And try on lots. It was easier for me to shop for my dress after I browsed online, because I knew what I wanted. Don't go trying on dresses until you have at least an idea of what you like. And you know what, once you try on 'the one', trust me - you'll know.. Good luck! |

take a few trusted people with you!!! i took my step-mom, moh and a bridesmaid....told them all to pick out dresses for me. i know me, i would have walked into the bridal shop and end up with the the plainest dress i could find. the one i decided on is far from plain!!!

I have 2 links to wedding gown sites on my website if you would like to check it out....however...if you buy online...I would still suggest going to a salon to try at least a couple dresses before ordering online. This helps you in deciding what size you need and style you might be looking for. Buying online is often cheaper, but trying something similar on in a bridal salon will give you an idea what that style will look like on you.

I looked online for styles that I like....davids bridal and alfred angelo (which is carried by house of brides) were my favorites. I went into Davids Bridal first and found my dress the first time....you'll know it. I didn't buy it right away because I wanted to at least check one more place, so I went to house of brides and then right back to davids bridal to buy my dress.....there was nothing else that came close!!

KylesBride hit it right on the head when she said to let others help with suggestions. It's these people's job, they know what they're doing!
You'll know you've found "the one" when after you tried it on, you compare all the others you try on after to it, but they're just not as good |
