I found a dress I absolutely love, I tried it on and it just felt like *the one* the only problem is that it is a halter dress, and I promised my mom I would wear her pearl necklace when she was really upset that I didn't want to wear her wedding dress. I tried the dress on with the necklace and it just looks silly, its way too much on the neckline... Now I don't know what to do, I took my mom to see the dress and she had me put it and the necklace on, and she was like oh they look great together, but they don't. I don't like the look of them together, and don't know what I should do.

first off.. if you tried the dress on and it made you think its the one.. then it prob. is. dont pick a dress just to go with your mom's necklace. and your right, i think that would be too much on the neckline. your mom will be hurt, but i would tell her. and try and get other's opinions in front of her, and hopefully they will agree with you. maybe you could find a way to wear it some other way( like a bracelet, or under the dress as something borrowed?) to make her feel better. but hey, if you dont want to do that either, dont! its your wedding..you want to wear your own dress and jewelry.

This is your day, and the first thing my mom told me was to make myself happy, not her or anyone else! You should get the dress that YOU want. But if you want to make your mom happy, wear her necklace to the rehearsal dinner, or if you're putting on a "get away outfit" you could wear it then!

I would either put it as a bracelet for even wrapped around the bouquet

Maybe you could even wear the pearls in your hair. Like, if you plan on wearing your hair up, in some sort of a bun, the pearls could be wrapped around. Just a thought....

I Agree With Jen And Mandy....i Think It Would Be A Nice Touch To Either Add The Pearls Around Your Bouquet....or Better Yet In Your Hair... That Would Look So Elegant. What A Position You R In.. Good Luck! :d

Agreed with the other ladies on the wearing them in your hair or around your bouquet. Be creative, but I agree with you on the fact that it would be too much to wear it as a necklace with a halter.
