Default Whats the online wedding industry missing?

Hi there.

Hope this is the right place to put this type of thread.

Anyway, i'm just trying to do a bit of research for a client who has an online bridal shop, selling bridal wear/gowns, evening wear, prom wear and so on. Firstly, im not going to link to the website, because im not here to promote anything!! only get valuable info back on what people looking for this type of thing, or with knowledge in this type of thing, think of current online wedding shops etc.

I would be more than grateful if anyone could comment/answer questions on a few topics if possible.

So, if a shop is selling bridal wear, gowns, prom wear, evening wear and so on, and you stumble upon that site, what would you prefer to see, or what do you feel is missing with existing websites.

Is there a tool you'd like, ie calculations of sizes, a colour type tool or anything along those lines? Something that would make you experience buying online easier?

If we are talking about bridal articles, or articles about areas surrounding them: Bridal wear articles, prom wear articles and so on, or any other type of articles. What do you think would help you/others, is there anything you'd like to read about, or anything you'd find valuable?

Any comments, help or suggestions would be appreciated, as stated, im not selling here, linking to anything here or trying to promote anything, and normally dont even do this, but feel it could prove quite valueable to my client.

Kind Regards

Claire

HI CLAIRE, I think you need really need to have current trends and new hard to find merchandise as well as fresh ideas. Very important to have a zoom feature explain the details of the merchandise and if the sizing is not true to size put that in the description so brides don't have to return or exchange merchandise. Good luck to your client!!

In looking for my dress what would have helped sooooooooo much are two things. One, if im looking for a dress in a size 18, i don't really get an good idea of what it will look like if its modeled on a size 2.
and two, a pull down menu for dress styles would have saved so much time. I knew i wanted a pick up skirt, but had to dig through all the others to find them.
oh, and an option to organize the search results by price would have kept me from falling in love with a dress i could not afford. speaking of price, why do i always have to act like im going to buy something before i can see the shipping?

sorry so blunt but im off to do more wedding stuff...

hope it helps.
