I think I'm just having a bit of buyers remorse... but I was hoping to get some outside opinions. I bought this dress and now am thinking it looks a bit strange. From the front I think it looks too stiff--like a perfect a-line & no organic feel to it whatsoever. I'm hoping this is just because of the stand they had me standing on and once I put it on and it touches the floor it won't be so stiff looking?! I am a pretty plain bride. I didn't want anything fancy, just simple and classic. The dress is exactly what I was looking for, but the stiffness in this picture is driving me crazy!! I can't re-try my dress on yet as it hasn't come in yet.

Also, I was wondering your thoughts on undergarmets. I was wearing a petticoat with the dress when I put it on, and I was thinking maybe by not wearing this, it would get rid of the stiffness?

Any thoughts would be most appreciated. I'm freaking out a little bit.

Did the dress feel stiff on??? Or did it have some give?

I think its just the pic. and like you said..standing on the riser.
The dress is very pretty and is a great style for you. I tried on...and im not kidding...29 dresses. And I could tell which ones felt stiff, and which seemd like they would be a pain in the *** to walk in.
As for undergarments...I would try with and without before ya make any decisions...I would wear something underneith..would keep everything smooth..but try and see!

I agree, I think that the dress is really pretty, and the reason it looks kinda stiff to you is because you are on the stand. I debated whether or not to get the peticoat that came with my dress, but if you wear the dress without it, then the dress can end up with that line down the front while you are walking because it is getting pulled between your legs. I would say try it on both ways before the big day and walk around a bit to make that decision.

i must also say, its very beautiful..and i also think its just the riser your standing on. when its touching the floor, itll have more give.

Agreed. I also think it is the stand. You might want it altered enough that it doesn't sit directlly on the floor though, or you might get the same "stiff" look on your wedding day? Just a suggestion. It looks absolutely gorgeous on you!
