Hi my name is mary and im a new member as of today. This seems like a nice place to get help with my long journey I have ahead of me. Im getting married June 21,2008 my engagement party is June 23,2007 any ideas on how I should go about having the party because I have no idea.

You could probably start off by sending out save the date cards, letting everyone know that you have decided on a wedding date. You could also get some engagement party invitations and send to close friends and family that could attend the engagement party. I would send them to the ones that wont have to travel a long ways to attend the party. That way it gives the parents a chance to meet before the wedding if they havent already. Hi there! Congrats to you! Our dates for the engagement party are identical! I am getting married June 8th, 2008 tho. Anyway, I agree with sending out save the dates. Depending on who you are inviting to your engagement party, you may just send/email invites to the people that are going, like your close family/friends. I am not sure on who you were planning on having there. We are just sending emails and doing phone calls, as we are only inviting immediate fam and close friends. Hi, I've been engaged for about a month and a half now, and I'm not getting married until August 2008, is it too late to have an engagement party or not?
Also, is that on my shoulders to plan/send invites, etc. or are engagment parties something someone else generally plans?
I'm at such a loss, and my MOH has told me she is too (I'm the first of all our friends to get married). I'm sure I'll be on here a lot asking for help!
