I was considering whether or not I want to go with a "Tea Party" sort of theme for the wedding. (After Erik and I watched an 80's movie with a prom having the theme of stars I decided no on the stars.) Anyway, Erik and I go to a craft store here called Hobby Lobby, where you can buy 1lb blocks of beeswax for candle making. Each block makes 6-8 votive candles (can't remember how many exactly). Either way, my mom and I were thinking of going to the local thrift stores and finding tea cups with matching saucers (each of the tea cups don't have to match just each cup to a saucer). We can buy those for cheap then spend $30 -$40 on beeswax (3-4 blocks) and make candles in each of the teacups. I am not sure if this will work, or if it will have the finished look that I will like, but its cheap enough to try and its not like i have to order I box of 25. Also, if I make them and it turns out that I don't want to use them for the wedding I can just put them away in my "gift closet" and give them away in gift baskets with tea and homemade scones.
