Default Parents gifts?

Sooo, what are some cute, creative... differnet ideas for gifts for your parents? I'm trying to find something for them - but I just want to do something different.

Any ideas

When I got my wedding dress I got a gift certificate for a jewelry store. We decided to use this for cuff links for our dad's. This ended up costing us $14 for both pairs after the gift certificate. For our moms I mad a little "thank you mom" scrapbook of us growing up. The scrapbooks cost me $9 a peice. These were their individual gifts. For the gifts that we are giving to our moms and dads together we got them a double picture frame and are putting our engagement pictures in one side and a "gift certificate" for the sitting fee to get family pictures done (hubby to be hasn had family pictures for probably 20 years and my family hasnt had them done for 7 years).

Take a look at this site it is where I bought a watch for dad and a nice pair of earrings for mother. At such low prices it really didn't cost that much, and considering how much they spent on the special day it was the least that I could do.

We got our moms each a diamond heart necklace in a lenox jewelry box that played my favorite classical song (Fur Elise).

We made a donation to The Fellowship of Christian Athletes in my Father's name (he was my #1 fan when I played sports in high school!) and presented him with a plaque.

For my husband's father, we bought stock in a beer company in his name and presented him with the certificate of ownership (I guess you would call it).

My parents paid for about 70% of each of my bridesmaids' dresses as their gift. They also got bags to carry their belongings in on the wedding day with their names embroidered on it. (my MIL owns an embroidery company- let me know if you need anything lol).

As for the groomsmen, Zales had a clearance sale on money clips, they each got one.

For our parents we got them each a silver picture frame with a place for 2 photos (5 x 7). The top of the frame was engraved "Always your Little Girl", and for his parents it said "Always your Son". The bottom was engraved with our birth date and then the wedding date (under each photo space)

When we gave it to them we put the first picture in there and it was a baby picture of me in my parents and of him in his parents. My parents cried when I gave it to them on my wedding day. After the wedding they each put in a wedding picture. I love it everytime I see it at their houses.
