Question Guest Book

Hi Everyone,

I am getting married in about 2 months and I have been looking for something other than your normal guest book, sign in board ect. for the guest to sign in and write comments. Does anyone have any other ideas??

Thanks!

I do! I posted it in another thread so I just copied and pasted it for you:

I'm doing something at my wedding that my mom saw at a friend of our's wedding. While the bride and groom are getting pics done during the cocktail hour (which is unavoidably time-consuming), you can entertain them while they wait AND create memories from your wedding! You can vary the details, but this is the idea:

Buy a binder or some type of photo album. Dedicate each page (or half a page) to each guest/family at your wedding. We're putting ours at a table in the front of the room as they walk into the reception. Have someone take a picture of your guests as they enter. You can use one of those portable printers to print the pictures right there, or leave room in the album to paste the picture later. In their designated "space," each guest/family can write a message to you and your new hubby! My friend also had little stickers and other crafty decorations so they can spend time decorating and not being bored waiting on you guys.

We're also having a chocolate fountain to entertain them and serve as a conversation piece.

try going to kodakgallery.com I belive is the site, you download digital photos and you can make professionally bound books with your photos in them and then you can do a year book sort of thing, plus people can see different pictures from througout your relationship.

I seen one idea that I LOVE! Guests sign their name (and leave a message) and a quilt square, which, of course, is later sewn into a quilt.

I also like the picture board thing.

Another idea I came across was a well wisher set. People write their wish for the couple on a piece of paper which is put into a special album. I've seen that on Rexcraft's website.

I wish I could rent a photobooth so guests could get their picture(s) taken and then leave a message on their photo. Wouldn't that be neat?!

I've also seen in a few catalogs Well Wishes cards. They're like business cards that everyone can sign and write a message to the bride and groom then place them in a vase. Later, the bride and groom can go through them and make an album of some sort.

Another new concept is a Signature mat. Personally, I'm definitely having one at my wedding. It's a huge framed mat that everyone can autograph surrounding a picture of the two of you. They are really cool!

That's the name I was looking for when I said picture board. lol. We're definitely doing that as well. I think it's a cute idea, and a good way to display signatures. (besides, we got one on sale for, like, $0.89!)

Pretty expensive I think, considering you'd probably have to pay to have it delivered (unless you're lucky enough to have a rental place nearby). I cannot remember the address for the one I had originally checked out.. but I think it had unlimed photos for the price you paid to rent it, and something like $600 to drive it to where I would have needed it. I so wish I could afford that because the more I think about it, the more I really, really want one. That would make an awesome keepsake. I love it, too, because I want to have a picture of every person/couple that attends our wedding. I'm just that kind of person I guess.

Here are a couple links with a bit more information: Photobooth.net | Photobooth Community and Photo Booth Blog and Photobooth|StL - Photo Booth Rental Company. The first link has a list of places you can rent them (through their company?). the second is located in St. Louis but they rent throughout the midwest "and beyond", it says.

Thanks for the info I would like to look into it, my friends say every wedding needs that one thing you splurge on to make it special and I think that would be perfect... plus there may be little corners you could cut elsewhere to make up some of it.
