Question 6 months on Nov.13 to Go..AHHHHHH

Ok first off My name is Heather I am a May 2008 bride to be.. On Nov.13,2008 it will be 6 months until my wedding.. Here's the thing.. Me and my fiance' just recently got out of school. "CNA" and just recently got a job. We have everything we need written down. We know where we are getting everything beside my dress and shoes.. We know the place etc etc... Do ya'll think we can get everything ready for our wedding.. Wallmart. has all the little things and we are going cheap.. the place we are getting married in is $40 to rent for 3 days. I know where I can get wedding dresses for $300 and under.. second hand but still! We are having wallmart do our cake, we our having a local cathering service cater our wedding..they are cheap.. we have a cheap decoration place 30 mins from us. So do ya'll think we can get everything before May 13,2008??

Hey!

I'm getting married May 9, 2008 so I know how you're feeling! You can definitely get it all done. Just don't wait on the things that have definitive deadlines like your bridesmaids dresses and they guys stuff (I just picked mine out today). They say it takes 14 weeks after ordering to get em all in and then you need time for alterations. But serisouly... you can do most everything else. Ebay has been my best friend in finding things for much less. Good luck May buddy!

You can do it!!! Girl, you have six months! Make a list of deadlines for each thing. I hope that it helps. I am a June bride. I do have my dress, veil, headpiece, napkins, matches, bubbles and that's about it! I hear you there! I do agree on the bridemaids dresses though, You may want to have everyone get together for that ASAP. I am having them get together in February...just in case there is a three month wait. Good luck!

From your post it sounds like you have all the planning taken care of! Now all you have to do is starting checking items off your list. Start with the larger more difficult items like the wardrobe for everyone and work your way down. Each day try and complete one more task from the smallest to the largest. You'll get there. When you become stressed just take a step back and remember why you are doing all of this.

Don't worry. You are on track! Just the fact that you listed all these things and you already knwo where they are coming from puts you ina very good spot. Much of the time is usually taken up deciding and researching, but you've already got that part out of the way so you're ina good place. Best wishes!

Thats great that you know what you want. My wedding is on March 2nd. I've been planning for, ummm, 1 month! lol. I made a list of what I wanted and put them in order from the most important to least important. I check them as I got them and kept at it. On the same list, as you list what is important list the amount of time each item will get to you and does it need to be altered? Like me, I listed, checked, everything is according to plan. As for the whole walmart thing. Thats great, who needs the bog wedding and expensive centerpieces, all you need is him. My centerpieces, invitations, favors, and decor, is all made by me or someone in the family. Thats another cheap way to go. It's up to you. But seriously, don't put yourself under too much stress, because like me, you'll stress everyone out, then whos gonna help you?? LOL. SET GOALS, MAKE A CHECKLIST, Keep in touch.
