Hello my fellow brides,

I just stumbled across your forum recently and everyone seemed so nice I decided to join. My wedding date is September 20th,2008 in NYC and we are expecting about 150 people. We were planning on getting married in a beautiful little church in City Island but have now decided to get married at our reception site. The church was just too small for us. My reception is going to be centered around angels and candle light which I think is very romantic. Any ideas you guys can give me would be great! I was thinking of a gold and white color scheme but I'm not sure. Should I add another color to accent? The bridesmaids dresses are going to be a champagne color and the maid of honor a darker shade of this. So any ideas you guys?

I don't think you need to add another color..you may find as you start planning that you keep stumbling across "angel" favors, decor and such that have other coordinating colors. I know with my theme i was using black and ivory..but i have switched to black and white cuz its easier to work with...it's easy to add another accent color. I think white and gold will be so romantic, and soooo classy!!!!
