well, im suppose to be getting married on may 31st this year. its been really tight lately, and we're still behind. we've tried everything from asking all parents and grandparents for a loan, and even his bro thats in the army. he said he was able to help us, but while he was back here on leave, he forgot to write us a check. now as of today, he's heading back to iraq. he was our last hope pretty much. our own bills are late, let alone trying to pay for a wedding. we have some options left, like eloping..but, as of right now, looks like the wedding is postponed
![]() this sucks! we got soo close..something ive always dreamt of. now theres no other option other than push it back if i still want a wedding. i give up! like dr. phil said once.. you should plan a marriage, not a wedding. and thats why i finally have started thinking about eloping. maybe not all the way, but just immediate family..really, really small. even if we decide to do that, we will have to wait, cuz i still dont have a wedding band. we bought his back at christmas time, but are maxed out on gettin a credit card through the store. damn, i was excited about the honeymoon too! lol. end of rant oh well, best of luck to all of you! |

yea, ive tho about it.. i mean, i kinda wanted a reception, but we have the option to cut the dj, and reception hall, and just have something small at the church. eat food and cake, and call it a day. which would also cut alot of the flowers/decorations. we're still weighing all our options.

if the only thing stopping you from continuing with the small intimate ceremony of just family and friends is the fact that you don't have a wedding band, what about talking to your parents and his and seeing if they have a grandmother's or great grandmother's old band. or if that's not an option, there is always walmart, while not the most expensive, they still have to adhere to certain standards, they just don't mark up as much as the jewelry stores do. and if that seems too tacky to you, just use your engagement ring until you can afford to buy the matching band. that's what one of my friends is doing, her hubby got her this really beautiful enagement ring in platinum, diamonds and pink saphires, but when they went to get married, he couldn't afford to get the matching band, so she wears her engagement ring, and a cheapy band from walmart on a necklace. whatever you decide i'm sure will be the best for the two of you.
