Well I guess it technically was a "Wedding Shower" but yes it was co-ed. I guess that would be the only difference in my eyes...a bridal shower is all female and the wedding shower is co-ed, but I think it consists of the same things....

Co-ed bridal showers are an awesome idea! I mean, how else can you make sure his friends aren't going to insist on going to strip clubs or getting crazy drunk to have the traditional 'stag party'? If you all party together you can have a great time and make the last memories of the single life that much more special
I never actually pondered co-ed bridal showers when I was writing about the traditional bachelor/bachelorette parties on my blog How to Plan Your Cheap Wedding! but that's an idea I'll definitely have to explore...Good luck, I hope you guys have fun! |

Yeah, I have heard of co-ed bachelor/bachelorette parties but never co-ed wedding showers. We ended up not attending because we had to work. I just don't think my FH would want to sit through the games and the gift opening.

We think this is a great idea,we are having one and have also attended them. The reason we are having it is actually for the whole crowd to be together. We have people that will not be able to attend the bachelorett/ bachelor party so its a good way to include everyone. There are some awsome couple games that can be played

We are having a co-ed bachelor/ette party. My guy didn't want a chance for any trouble. He specifically told his buddies before he got married the first time NO STRIPPERS. He just wanted a night out with the guys at a sports bar or something.
This is my first wedding & the no stripper thing is fine with me. We're panning on going to a place with the go carts, miniature golf, batting cages & maybe laser tag or paintball. It'll be a guys vs girls night! & he's totally into it. I can't wait!!!!! We're gonna kick their butts!!!!! Most of these places in the area we will be are outside. But even if it rains we can move it to the bowling alley my Dad co-owns (Thank you Daddy!). Even if it doesn't rain we might end up there for a guys vs gals tournament. We just wanted something fun. We knew a lot of his friends would be solo & uncomfortable in a more formal co-ed party. This way everyone gets to meet & mingle & get to know each other (my side is local, all his friends are out of towners) before the wedding. |

That sounds awesome!! We are having a co-ed shower and bachelor/ette party as well. The only reason we attend a "club" is to dance. We do not drink and he isnt into strippers either. We will have a fun night out together with his friends, my friends and our family.

We're having a co-ed shower, it's like the engagement party we never got to have. There will be no "games" like gift bingo and what not. It's a chance for everyone to get together and mingle some before the wedding and with less stress. We are having separate bachelor / bachelorette parties. If the guys want strippers whatever I"m not that insecure or controling but I think male strippers are nasty and their will be none of that for me!
