I would just not invite her at all, ha ha. I would just say, "I saw you added xxxx name to my guest list, unfortinately we have a very limited space at the reception hall and we are unable to allow our guests to bring a guest as well." If she can't deal with it, she doesn't have to come, right?

I told my coworkers that unless they were married or close to it I was only inviting them no +1's. They were all very understanding of the money thing. It seems like as soon as you explian how much extra it would cost to invite the 15 other people they get it completely. Good Luck

That's out of control rude. I would never! I agree with all of the above. I would tell her that due to the size of the hall you are only able to extend the invitation to solely her. I would even place a little note in her invitation stating this. My friend had 4 people bring guests that weren't invited - even when the invitation stated that persons name only. Some people!
