Question Self Tanner

My skin is really light, I don't want my skin to match my dress. I don't tan, even if I lay outside for 4 hours! The only thing that really works for me is spray tanners. Any suggestion for any good products that won't come off onto my dress? I was also considering The Mystic Tan, but I heard you have to stand in like 20 different positions. Any suggestions?????

Actually the mystic tan is really really simple, it sprays you and the nozzles move... the only thing you need to do is turn around. Its a little pricy but way worth it.

I have light skin too, and when I got married I did a mixture of gradual tanning and the mystic tan. I thought the mystic was great, although you do need to be careful where you stand and make sure you get everything evenly. It's not that difficult! They saw it lasts for two weeks, but I would say more like 1 week.

I did hear from my photographer however, not to tan in a tanning bed 2 days before the wedding because it can give your skin an unnatural glow in photos.

Jergen's Tanning Lotion works well too. It is only like $6 a bottle, but does come off on clothing, so I would recommend not putting nay onthe day of the wedding.

Mysic Tan is the way to go, I wouldn't mess with do-it-yourself tanners. Mystic Tan is quick and it looks totally real on us fair-skinned girls. It also won't come off on your dress or even in the water if you go swimming on your honeymoon.

I dont think you should have to tan, I have really light skin too, but white dresses are just ment to enhance you skin tone. Also if you do decide to spray tan try it once way befor the wedding so you know how it will take to your skin.

I don't think I'll end up tanning. My fiance loves my fair skin. Besides, I never have so I'm afraid it would look unnatural on me. I actually do tan really well, but I won't. So...yeah...

I have to say that if you're a naturally light person, I wouldn't tan. I used Mystic Tan for a wedding I served in, and it looked HORRIBLE! I looked like an enormous orange with legs. If you're really wanting to, i would do a try run first, just to make sure. I have seen many brides do that on the day of their wedding or the day before, and cry because it came out looking so horrible.

I would go natural. Your family and your guy loves you for who you are, not for how tan you look. You're going to look gorgeous any way your skin looks that day!

my friends mom actually does a message tan. a professional basically gives you a message but with tanning lotion. It seems like a great way to get relaxed and get a well done/even tan. you could look into that option too?

I know a lot of people are suggesting Mystic Tan, but I have NEVER seen a girl that has had it done that did not look orange or streaky. MAYBE they were moving or did something wrong, but it never looked right. Especially inbetween their toes and fingers.
Jergens lotion is great, and Aveda has an amazing product called "Sun Source". Its like $16.50 a bottle (I work at a spa that sells aveda) but it is really moisturizing and it doesn't rub off on clothes, it absorbs well, it doesn't smell funny, and it isn't streaky. I absolutely loved it when I tried it. And a little goes a long way so the bottle lasts a while....

Regardless...exfoliating helps a tan look better and more even.
