Hello! My fiance and I have just started looking at wedding bands just online and we are seeing all these different types... ex. gold, titanium, tungsten... Does anyone have any idea what type is best for what or just which is supposed to be better quality? Just looking for any tips or ideas. Thanks in a advance for any help!

You can really go with anything. My fiance and I got completely different rings from one another. Mine is a white gold princess cut band and his is a solid gold comfort fit band. I figured they dont have to match and we can both be happy with them - we are going to be wearing them for the rest of our lives = ) FYI a lot of jewelers seemed to push the Tungsten on us...prolly since the FH is a mechanic, but he didnt find it as comfortable.

I love the comfort fit bands. My FFIL has one and that is what I plan on getting my FH. As far as which is better, first of all I would look at your budge and what you can spend on your bands. Here is a site that talks about some of the different types of metals. Just try doing a search of "Precious metals" and you should find a lot of information.

My fiance' wants the Tungsten. If your man works with his hands, that's the best to go with because it never scratches. He also likes the fact that it sort of has a blackish hue to it. He's not a jewlery kinda guy at all, so he wants something that's not too shiny. Our rings won't match either, because I just want a simple white gold band to match my engagement ring....which is a white gold princess cut.
