I just got back from my honeymoon this weekend. We had a totally untraditional honeymoon and it was awesome. We live in Washington state (Seattle) and we decided to do a roadtrip through Oregon. We spent the forst day driving right through Oregon, and hit the California Redwoods, then we turned North on Hwy 101 along the coast and slowly made our way back. We saw gorgeous vistas, went on a wild ride on the sand dunes, al just relaxed the whole time. It was not traditional (roadtrip) but it was awesome knowing that we had no plans and we could change our minds whenever we wanted about where we would go. Our last night was spent at the Holiday Inn Express in Astoria, OR (where the Goonies, Kindergarten Cop, etc. was filmed) and the room was amazing. We had a king sized bed with a hot tub in the room and a fireplace,and the view was breathtaking. The lady at the front desk was so accomidating too. We had a bottle of bubbly that we meant to share our wedding night that we never got to, so she gave us a pair of wine glasses to drink out of that we got to keep.
