Anyone else going to Hawaii for their honeymoon? Any recommendations on places to go/see in Maui?

Default Hotels in Maui

I went there many years ago on a family vacation, and we stayed at a place called "The Royal Lahina". It was FABULOUS! Right on the beach...golf course on site...trolley stop in front, perfect for a relaxing vacation. And they have a wonderful pool with excellent waiters to wait on you hand and foot! My only regret was not taking a surfing lesson! Good luck, you'll have so much fun in Hawaii, no matter where you stay!

I was just in Hawaii in Feb. We stayed at Turtle Bay Resort. It was the best hotel I have ever stay at. It was completely secluded and had miles of beach. -I defiantly want to go back there on my honeymoon.

Kaanapali beach is a great place to stay. Tons of hotels to eat at, great shopping nearby and the beach is amazing and not too crowded. I've also been to Honolulu (lots of excitement and fun too) but Maui was by far much more relaxing.

We went to Hawaii fro our honeymoon in October. It was not my first time to Hawaii, but each time I go back I am blown away by the pristene beauty. It seems so untouched in some areas and is clean and the people are friendly. ENGLISH SPEAKING (which was a huge plus for us).

I have been to Maui, Kauaii, and the big island and my favorite is the big island. There is such extreme climate change there, and it feels the least touristy out of all the islands. There is a lot of hiking and things you can do where you don't run into many people. I liked the secluded feeling!

We are going to Honolulu and stay in a hotel on Waikiki Beach. The Hale Koa actually. I've never been to Hawaii so I'm super excited.

I am also going to Hawaii for my honeymoon, Maiu to be exact. I have a friend at work who is in one of those clubs where you can get condos anywhere in the world, anyway she is using some of her points for us to stay in Maui for a week in a condo that is right on the beach! It has a kitchen and everything so we wont have to eat out every night we can have a romantic dinner in the condo looking at the beach! I cant wait!
Anyway people have been telling me that it is very expensive in Hawaii, has anyone been to maiu and can recommend some stuff to do that does not cost tons of money?

Depends what type of budget you are on? For Maui, we stayed at the Hyatt for a few nights and absolutely loved it. Then we stayed 2 nights at Four Seasons, where they treat you like royalty.

Another thing we did was had "Dinner on the Beach". It was the most romantic night we ever had - just us and the chef on the beach.

Good luck!

Talking Re: Hawaiian Honeymoon

First Let me start by Saying Hello....

I went on my Honeymoon to Hawaii 25 years ago, currently I am the Mother of the Bride and I am a Travel Agent who specializes in Destination Weddings and Honeymoons.

Now to the Your Posting ...

No Matter what Island you choose, there are lots of things to do.

Maui's Westin Villa's offers a stay at one dine at all program. This lets you dine at Princeville Hotel and or Sheraton Maui as well as allows you to use the amenities at all three Hotels and charge it all back to the Westin. There are great Packages out there. I would be more than happy to assist you with any information regarding the islands. If you are into adventure there's Zip lining, Horseback Riding, Sunset Cruises, ATV Riding... and more. All very affordable.

Let me know if I can be of any help !
