Hi girlies! I'm brand new, so if this has been asked recently, I apologize.
I'm having a second wedding and I absolutely do not need gifts--mostly because of the generosity my friends and family showed at my first wedding! I want to have a low-key kind of celebration, but I really don't want them to have to give gifts. I know it's generally fairly tacky to even mention gifts on the wedding invitation, so how do I make it known that we don't expect nor want gifts? |

Just type up something, print it out and put it in the invitation.
"We would love for you to join us! Please remember that your presence is your gift, nothing more." Something to that effect. People will still probably give you gifts, though, only because they love and care for you. |

Just put a note in the invitation dear, that you do not really need gifts at the moment.
Say something like this: AS MUCH AS WE KNOW YOU WOULD LIKE TO EXTEND YOUR WELL WISHES BY GIVINGS US TOKENS AND GIFTS, YOUR SIMPLE PRESENCE IS ALL THAT MATTERS. _________________________ Love will never fade, as long as it doesn't stray. |
