I too purchased my invitations online and saved a bundle on some very elegant professional invitations. I have not seen any mention of samples. For anyone buying online and especially those who are not comfortable with this kind of purchase, most online companies provide samples of their invitations. This will give you an idea on the quality of their product.
Also, it's worth mentioning that most of these companies didn't start out as online vendors. It's a service they have added with the explosion of the internet. Invitations by Dawn, Rexcraft, American Wedding Invitations(I am not promoting these companies, they are just some of the more well known) etc...were companies advertising in Bridal magazines before everyone was shopping online. I personally have purchased invitations for both my first wedding, my 2nd and my parents anniversary from online vendors/magazine advertisements. I was pleased with each one. With the cost savings, online is the way to go. |

Hi All,
Online is the best way to go! A dear friend of mine recently went to a store in Dallas and paid $750 for wedding invitations, but her experience was awful. The staff clearly was not trained in invitation etiquette and her invitations had to be reprinted (TWICE). I bought mine from Carlson Craft Wedding Invitations, Discount Wedding Invitations, Wedding Invitations, Cheap Wedding Invitations, Toronto Wedding Invitations -- LoveBugWeddingInvitations.com, Houston, Atlanta, San Diego, Chicago, New York and they are the best. She, I forgot her name, was very helpful and the prices were great!!! |

I also got my invitations from Jean M. They turned out wonderful and were all assembled, which is nice! If you live around the London Ontario area, you can make an appointment with The Wedding Shoppe (www.theweddingshoppe.ca). They are a dealer of the JeanM and actually have an invitation kit so that you can see a sample of all of the invitations/colours/fonts in person and you can order through them. The Wedding Shoppe also sells do-it-yourself invitations.
Hope that is helpful! |

It seems most will end up choosing some elements they like with online invitation websites that others may not like. The other truth I see is getting your wedding invitations online is not a bad thing and excitement comes when couples get a good price for wedding invitations that look great.
I host a site that does comparative studies on wedding planning and Ann's Bridal Bargains seems to be high on the chart of being a good company to do business with. I will now take note of the others mentioned in this forum. I'm grateful for this forum because it also helps me learn what brides want so I can better serve their needs. Thank you brides for confirming my thoughts about certain wedding invitation sites. If you need help on wording your wedding invitations, I've put together a web page called how to write a wedding invitation that could be helpful to your wedding journey. May it be successful! Thanks Bridalhallmark.com |
