I got my save the date cards online and they turned out wonderful. Lots of online stores will let you order a proof of the invitations if you want one, but thats is an extra cost, although really the extra cost is worth it! We're probably going to get ours online.

Thanks for the help. Do you have any recommendations for online invitation places?

Hi. I am getting married on Oct 7. I am actually making my invites but wanted to get the actual invite professionally done since we wanted embossed shiny gold print. We ended up going with the online option. For $155 USD we got 150 invites, 150 gold interior foil envelopes, 150 outer envelopes, 150 response cards, and extra 25 of each envelope AND two activity books for the two flower girls with crayons for each. We just got the invites and they are beautiful. I contacted their on line chat one million times with questions and they were always patient and accommodating. In fact, because I am adding espresso card stock to the back of the invites I needed larger envelopes than the invites called for and they just substituted these in at NO extra cost. Her Web site is Ann's Bridal Bargains. I would never recommend them until I actually received my order to ensure I was satisfied and I am 100% thrilled (and very fussy). The same invites would have cost me MORE than double at all of the local stores, and the local stores were going to charge me $80 to substitute the envelopes! Also, I placed my order and they were delivered to my door exactly 6 days later, I think they are in Indiana and I am in Eastern Canada! AND shipping was FREE because I recommended them to my friend who is getting married. Hope this helps.

Hello,

I like the website myjeanm.com. Im purchasing my invites from there because she has simple, yet elegant invitations and save the date cards. If you have money to burn, it is a great choice. ;-)

I agree with the others. Going online to buy your invites is a good idea. You can find great deals.

Hi All,

I am with you all... Online is good. I have a couple friends who went with this site, SkylineWedding.com, the invites ended up looking fantastic. The company had custom made invitations that even included free letterpress printing!

The site made things easy to design, they can send you a custom sample of the design you want to order, and they use really high quality materials.

Check them out- SkylineWeddings.com

I was looking online and found a lot of really nice ones at Ann's Bridal Bargains. I had my mind made up of the ones we were going to get and then I was reading some of the posts on the other forums and they talked about checking out stores like Staples, Office Max, etc... I decided to go to our local Office Max store and for about $0.25 a piece I am going to be getting custom made invitations with a vellum overlay. They will also print our RSVP cards for about $.06 a piece. My fianace and I will get to design our invitations, use whatever color cardstock for the background and either print on the cardstock or on the vellum. I was very impressed and the gentleman in their print shop was very nice. They only downfall is you do have to design it, they don't have any premade ones, but if you look around online and find some you love, they can definately help you design them.
