Default Tropical Wedding & Reception Later

So my sister is getting married in Jamacia and then having their reception a couple weeks after they get back. Does anyone have any ideas of how to word their reception invites or know of anywhere that you can get an invite for this type of situation???

In an effort to save money, I would buy specialty paper from an office supply store, type up the invites on the computer and mail 'em out.

As far as wording goes, I would suggest an announcement type of wording.

Example:
We tied the knot in Jamaica!
Now help us celebrate in (your town)!
Time, date, place, etc.

Something to that effect.

We offer three, different types of wedding invitations for this type of a wedding, which is also called a "destination wedding." Traditional wedding invites wouldn't work in your case, but we do offer a specialty-type of wedding invite called a "save-the-date." We also carry a "seal-n-send" style of wedding invite as well.

In this case, because the wedding is in a tropical location and the reception is at home, we recommend either sending out a simple wedding announcement, like this beach announcement, or sending a seal-n-send that would give you some flexibility to word things differently.

Feel free to order free sample invitations to make sure that you can narrow down your choices. We specialize in destination weddings, and this situation comes up often for our brides-to-be.

that is similar to what we're doing. we're getting married on a beach in St. Thomas during a cruise and then we'll have a reception in our hometown a few weeks later. we haven't done up our invites yet but I've been playing around with the wording myself. one way I came up with is

Bride's Name & Groom's Name
will be married
in St. Thomas, USVI
on December 9, 2008

Please join us in celebration of our marriage
December 31, 2008
time

reception location, address, etc

and since we'll be out of town doing the cruise/wedding from Dec 6-13 and our reception is on NYE, about 3 weeks after the ceremony, and Christmas is in there as well... I figured we'd mail out the invites maybe like a week or two before we go on the cruise (maybe like right before or right after Thanksgiving).
