Hi Everyone! I need some opinions.... I am getting married on October 25, 2008 and I am looking at purchasing my save the dates. Is it way too soon to send these out? When is a good time to send them?

i wouldn't think its too soon. october is 9 months away. it will probably take 6-8 weeks(i'm guessing) on getting them back after ordering them. and the invitations go out like 6-8 before the wedding. so getting the dates out now, i dont think would be too early. esp. if you have some that need to make reservations, buy plan tickets, or request off work?

I actually think the save the dates we picked out arrive in about 3 weeks. So, if I send them out mid- Feb, you think that would still be okay?

sounds good to me.. its not like it will be too much time. and they wont forget, cuz you will be sending out the invitation of course closer. this is just a heads up for out of towners.

you could also design them yourself and get them printed either by a local printshop or a service like vistaprint.com (which I used on my STD's (hehehe...that always makes me laugh. anyway...). Like I said, i used vistaprint for mine, (I designed them too, but I think they have some premade designs you can pick from too.) and I did mine as just postcards (saved a bit of money since I didn't have to pay for envelopes) and I got mine within a week.

If you're crafty & cheap (like me), it's a pretty good deal and it's very fast.

Now i just have to get them all addressed & mailed!
