I was wondering when it is that you start sending out your wedding invitations? How far ahead?!

A good rule of thumb is between 1 to 2 months out. If you expect a lot of guests to be traveling and needing to make hotel reservations, a little more prep time for them will be appreciated. If you are inviting the type of crowd that have their calendars booked farther than that in advance, are having a destination wedding, or have lots of people coming from long distances, send a Save the Date. These can be sent 4-6 months in advance with no worries.
