I've seen this before, and it works. It's to keep the wedding in order, to keep everything calculated. Like how much food do you need to make, how many souvenirs you have to make... So everything won't come short.

It is not rude. You will include a note in your invitation that he/she will be allowed to take a specific number of guests. And so everything is anticipated and in order.

Lets face it, people are rude and sometimes inconsiderate, they will bring a guest without permission, they will NOT RSVP & then show up. So... I thought that I would have someone at the door with a list and they must be on the list with the proper number of +1's.

I think it will be good to have as many guests as u can afford. They all will pray for ur success.
