I really dont think you need to worry about the jewlery, have you ever been to a wedding and thought "oh the bridesmaids would look better if their jewlery matched?" Probably not, everyone will be looking at you, not the jewlery or shoes your bridesmaids wear.

I have decided to let my girls choose their shoes, hair and makeup. I got them their jewelry because I had a jewelry party and actually had enough people purchase items that I got their earrings and bracelets FREE! So because I got them at no cost I am buying them all wooden wind chimes and now thinking about buying them flip flops for the reception. They don't need neckalaces because of the style dress they are wearing. I plan on going and getting my toe nail and finger nails done a couple of days before the wedding and will invite them to go along with me. My mom is also paying for their hair to be done so my girls are getting quite abit but all will have their own style in different areas.

I think its a good idea it makes bridesmaid presentable. Although everyone is more interested to see the jewelry. I will suggest maids should not wear necklaces they should not over do makeup. gifting earrings is a good idea.

I think that the style now is different is great, so I'm letting the bridesmaids choose everything and just giving them a color scheme to stick with, so that they would be able to wear the dresses again. Also they are so proportinally different that different would look great instead of different proportional girls wear the SAME dress.

Since my wedding is small I have given my bridesmaid the choice of picking out everything on there own.. They will be unique. The only thing I ask is they make sure there dresses are wine colored.

I am only having one bridesmaid, so I don't have the issues of matching or no matching. I have been finding it difficult though because she lives on the east coast, and I am in the Northwest. Once I finally make up my mind about the colors, I am just going to give her a few guidelines (maybe some color swatches) and have her pick her own dress. I would get her dress here (saw a lovely one on clearance) but she is so tiny, that we are not sure if the smallest sizes they have will fit her.

I'm going to go to a local beading store and rent it for a day. I'm going to have my bridesmaids come with me and then make their own bracelet and necklace for the day. As for earrings, we'll see. I figured that way all the jewelry will be different, but have the same theme running through it, plus it will be a lot of fun. I'm not sure what I'm doing for gifts yet.
