I'm doing something at my wedding that my mom saw at a friend of our's wedding. While the bride and groom are getting pics done during the cocktail hour (which is unavoidably time-consuming), you can entertain them while they wait AND create memories from your wedding! You can vary the details, but this is the idea:

Buy a binder or some type of photo album. Dedicate each page (or half a page) to each guest/family at your wedding. We're putting ours at a table in the front of the room as they walk into the reception. Have someone take a picture of your guests as they enter. You can use one of those portable printers to print the pictures right there, or leave room in the album to paste the picture later. In their designated "space," each guest/family can write a message to you and your new hubby! My friend also had little stickers and other crafty decorations so they can spend time decorating and not being bored waiting on you guys.

We're also having a chocolate fountain to entertain them and serve as a conversation piece.

i have seen people do that with the pictures, but what i seen that was even cooler was a photo booth!!!! It was an actually photo booth that took 6 pictures, and they had all the stuff set up for them to cut and past and to add the stickers and stuff like that with their picture. it was so neat and then they got to take home the other pictures, they had different props to use and other cool stuff if i can find the web site i will post it for you!

oh that's cute, I wonder how much it would cost... we're doing our save-the-dates in a photo booth! We're going in about an hour actually... We're going to hold up a blank piece of paper in it, so then I can scan the strip of pictures and edit it so it says "Save the date" and all that stuff. I'll put it up when it's done. Anyway, thanks for the idea! If you know the person who did that, could you ask them how they got the booth and how much it was?

who do you ask to take those pictures? someone in your wedding party? a friend? a family member? or are you paying someone to do it?
