Default Guest Book

Our guest book is a small scrapbook with blank white pages, I want the guests to be able to write words of wisdom for us, marriage advice, etc......I wanted them to have plenty of room to do that. It is a denim covered one as our wedding will be in the fall.

I went to a wedding where they did this type of thing, but they also had one of those Polaroid cameras that takes little fun sized pictures. They asked everyone before and after dinner to try to make time to take their picture by the table and stick it in the book with a wedding wish. It was such a cool idea, and I'm sure it's fun to look back at what everyone was wearing, what they looked like then and who all came.

Wink Re: Guest Book

I am actually a photographer and a GREAT idea that not alot of people are doing right now is to have a photo book made like a year book with pictures from an engagement session or fun photos of you and your fiance throughout your relationship. Make sure you tell your photographer to create the book with few pics and lots of blank space on each page for your friends and family to write their good wishes. It is so much fun for the wedding guests to look at and it isn't your typical guest book with a bunch of lines that don't get filled out completely. Just another idea for you. The memories of your wedding day can never be recaptured. Make sure that you do everything possible to ensure that you have a photographer that knows what you want and what you like! I have been married 7 years now and if only I knew then, what I know now. The options are ENDLESS!!!

Our guestbook pages will be distributed to each guest with a pen after the ceremony during the down time of picture taking. These pages are printed on card stock with a picture of us and boxes for their name, advice to the newlyweds, and special memory of the day. They will be collected at the end of the reception or as guests leave. Once the candid table camera pictures are developed an album with the pages and pictures will be made. My fiance is as excited about this as I am.

We are actually going to do a big poster board with a pic of us in the middle and have friends and family sign it...then we are going to frame it and hang it above the fireplace in our living room instead of a guest book gathering dust somewhere.

I think anything you do is great now a days. everyone has their own ideas and that's what makes the guest book so special. I have so many ideas I can't even decide. But I do love that yearbook one.

Lightbulb Re: Guest Book

like some of you already mentioned we were going to have each of our guest have there on page to personalize anyway they would like and have there picture in there on the page they did for us we were going to also let them do this while pictures are going on, then at the end of the festivties have everyone drop them off on the gift table and we were going to put them in our guest book with candid shots that are going to be taken by the guest with dispable camaras at each table during the reception and those who bring camaras and have some pics they give us so that every moment is captured and everyone who is there is caught on camara at least once I think it'll make for a fun and memerable album later on.

Hey, that is a great idea! I was trying to figure out a way to do our regular guestbook and some other ideas I've had (and not have them all together, if that makes any sense at all), and passing it around during our pictures would be a great time. I don't know why I hadn't thought of that!

The question you have to ask yourself is, "Am I really going to go through each and every person's word of advice/picture/etc?"

If you're having a large wedding with 100+ guests, then the answer is probably no.

LadyWinter's idea has been the best so far and is what I am doing, as well.

I would rather have something to display in my home after the wedding than a book with a bunch of writing in it sitting on my bookshelf, which I probably won't ever read.
