My Proposal
We were on our first vacation together to Duluth, Minnesota. A few weeks before we left he told me he was going to buy me a model sailboat as a souvenir. We were driving along the shore of the lake one day and stopped at a senic overlook to take pictures. We walked down to the water and after a few minutes he told me he wished we had better weather (it had been raining all day) because he was hoping the sun would be out to make the moment perfect. I figured he was talking about having the sun shining on the lake for out pictures, but then he said, "I didn't buy you a sailboat, but I did buy you something else that rhymes with dingy (another word for sailboat apparently. I did not know this.)" So i turned around and he had the box open in his hand and asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes!

 My husband surprised me when we were on a trip in Disneyworld, and he showed me a website at the hotel that he said he found useful: Diamonds Engagement Rings Diamond Jewelry and News. I looked at it and noticed that it was a diamond website. He showed me a ring and said he hoped I liked it. I thought that it was amazing, but then he pulled out the actual ring from his pocket! Needless to say, it was a pretty good weekend.

I think that's brilliant. If you said you hadn't liked the ring maybe he wouldn't have pulled it out so soon, gone back to the jewelers, and regrouped!!

It's been awhile since you posted this, but I just wanted to say that Duluth is a lovely place to get engaged
I live there and even when it's raining, it still has a romantic aura about it. Many congratulations and good luck on your day (same as mine, haha!).
