nathaniel and i met while attending college, he has always been a great friend. in april of 2005 i found out my father had stage 4 cancer and they gave him six months to live...it felt like my whole world fell apart. thanks to nathaniel i kept the strenght to be there for my father. one day nathaniel was over seeing my father and he pulled nathaniel aside and asked "if something happens to me do you promise to take care of my baby" nathaniel agreed. on july 31, 2005 my father passed away...it felt like to worse day of my life...it was hard being daddy's little girl and no longer having him with me.

it was fathers' day 2006 nathaniel and i were putting flowers on dad's grave, he was with me for a few minutes then left me alone to have my own time...about 10 mins later he came back and hugged me real tight, told me loved me and said "now i really want to make it official, i asked him what he was talking about, then he told me what he promised dad before he died. that is when he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. i was crying tears of joy and sadness...i was an emotional train wreck.

some my think how he proposed is creepy but to me it will always hold a special place in my heart...losing my father at 23 was the worse moment in my life, but having nathaniel by my side helps me cope.

I don' t think that it is creepy! I think that is sweet!
