We had recently graduated college and moved to California to start Ben's new job. We had decided for Christmas to head up to Lake Arrowhead because we missed home (Washington) and needed to get away. So we headed up there with our dog, got a great private cabin and roamed the streets along the lake. We went on a boat ride and shopping and all that good stuff. Ben decided we should go to dinner to try the Thai place that is right there (Amazing if you ever head there). He was so nervous I could not figure out why he had to keep going to the bathroom. After we had dinner and drinks Ben wanted to go on a walk along the lake. Mind you, we were not exactly prepared for this, we wandered and he wanted to check out a "construction zone closed" dock into the lake. I was like no way, we started chatting and looking at the lake and the stars and he said my name, and I turned around and he was down on one knee and I was like "what are you doing? Get up" and then he asked me to marry him and we stared at each other and then started laughing and I started crying and I said yes and we went back to the restaurant and had drinks with random patrons to celebrate. It was amazing and totally unexpected!!

AWWW! That was such a sweet way that he did that! Congratulations!
