On black Friday (Nov 2006) I was out shopping with my friend as we do every year, @ Toys R Us by 3:00am. LOL We were in the mall, it was about lunch time and Dennis called from work to see what I was doing. He came to the mall to meet us for lunch. As we walked around, a reporter from the Eagle Tribune (Lawrence, MA newspaper) stopped us and asked if they could interview us about black Friday. As we were answering questions, she turned to Dennis and said, "what are you shopping for?" He said, "engagement rings." My jaw dropped. The reporter laughed, I thought he was kidding. Well, when we were done the interview, Dennis walked me down to a jewelry store and told me to pick something out, leave all the info with the sales guy because he had to go back to work. So I did. The salesman (Chris) said once Dennis ordered it, it would take about 2 weeks. Of course I was counting down.

The Sunday after black Friday (which is the day after our 9 year anniversary), we had plans for dinner and tix to see RENT with some family and friends. So we went to the restaurant, Fortunato's. I sat across from Dennis. He asked me to sit next to him but I said I was fine. He moved his chair around the table next to me. Wierd but ok. When the Apps arrived, Dennis pulled me very close to him and whispered, "Marry me" as he placed the ring in my hand. As we hugged and kissed, my sister was telling us to get a room. Then she saw the shiney object in my hand. She cried, my mom cried and it took me 20 mins before I realized I didn't give him an answer. Oops!
