Hi there! My cousin in Texas had the same wedding theme last year and she got a gorgeous Country theme cake topper from Blue Rainbow Design along with some cute horseshoe wedding favors. I believe this is the topper she got on the cake. ![]() Congratulations and good luck! Hope this helps. Tif' Last edited by tnile06 : 05-26-2007 at 08:22 AM. |

My brother and sister-in-law got married a few years ago at her parents ranch and it was very westerned themed. We had a full weekend of events and everyone camped right on site. It was a blast. For the centerpieces she used metal feed buckets that she had painted white and filled them with wild flowers like daisy's and some wheat. For favors she got small candles in a silver bucket and painted them white with their names and the date painted onto them. They also used lots of hay bales to decorate around the ceremony and reception. The head table had a lasso with some daisy's on it hanging behind them. They had a beautiful cake topper and I wish that I had a picture of it to show you. They did a sheet cake and had a cart and 4 horses made out of wrought-iron on top of it. For dinner we had roast beef and a pig done on a spit, that had been cooked all day. It was a lot of fun and so laid back.... Good luck with your planning!

When my friend had a western wedding, I was not enthused (not my personal taste) so she had to take some ribbing from me---well, on the day of the wedding, she made me a plate full of those "no bake chocolate cookies" ( the ones you do on the stove top with chocolate, peanut butter & oatmeal)--and on top she had a note that said:
Some "Cow Pies" From the Bride I howled! I guess SHE told ME! ha.ha. Anyway--an idea: her mom made the ring bearer's pillow from two hankerchieves sewn together and stuffed with filling. The rings were tied onto it with binder twine. It was pretty cute. |
