My name is Catherine, and I want to have the room decorated for when the groom and I arrive at the room. Now I don't want to decorate it before everything, so the rose petals won't go yucky. We have a family friend doing the photography and I was thinking of asking her to decorate the room for us just before the reception is over. I want opinions. Thank you.

You probably don't want the photographer to leave the reception to decorate. I would have a bridesmaid or another family friend do it.
