Default Favor's

i have a question. i am having 2 reception, one at the wedding site, and one the next week at home (we are getting married out of state) do i have to provide favors to the guest at the second reception? or just the ones that travel to the weeding/reception??

Most of the people that are going to the wedding are going to come to the 2nd reception too, just to hang out. so i dont want them to be getting 2 favors and then some not getting any....

HELP!

hmm... I guess it depends on which one is a bigger reception. The ones that travel should definitely get something for going out of their way to attend your wedding, so maybe you could do something smaller for the 2nd reception. My fiance and I are doing two favors - one will be sand dollars with our names and wedding date on them (we're using them as place cards that double as favors b/c their name and table will be on little detachable paper slips), and then a little clear bag of M&Ms in our wedding colors with a tag attached that has our new address on it.

i love the idea of the m&m with the new address, but we arent moving, lol... but i think that i might do something small at the second one and just leave them in a basket on the card table or something like that and let them take what they please. i dont know.....

about the sizes, they are both going to ber about the same 75 at each. but i am defantly doing something awesome for the ones that are going to gatlinburg, i have them the box with mints in it, the bubbles & a cd with our favorite songs on it, and i also thought about getting tiny bags and putting 2 tea bags and packets of sugar so they can relax while they are down there and use it as a vacation for everyone. it shouldnt be to bad and just have them sitting on their night stands when they get to the chalets!

Hi,

I also agree that the people travelling should get a wedding favor. Actually you can work with the hotel manager to have the favors waiting for them in their rooms. This way the only favors you give out for the second reception is to the travelling guest and having them receive it at the hotel would avoid the complication of some of your guest having a favor and some not at the reception.

Why not checkout some favor ideas or ask your question from the experts at Wedding Favor Designers Their featured wedding favor designer Beau Coup is an excellent source for all your wedding questions and inexpensive favors. Hope this helps.

I think you should do favors for both even if the one you have at home is less expensive, maybe do a candy bar at home, that would be a less expensive option.

I am going to have these boxes ( Embossed 1/2 Pint Chinese Take-out Boxes / Pack of 12 : Unique Wedding Favors - Wedding Reception Favors - Bridal Shower Favors ) at the ceremony with chocolate covered fortune cookies in them, and the at the after-party (having a "tea" reception to cut costs, and a real "party" reception for closer friends) I am going to have a little something more.

You can find wedding soap favors at this site: Unique soap wedding favors, bridal & baby shower favor, childrens soap. I think these would be great for the hotel guests.
