What Champange?
I get to choose the champagne for the toast, whatever one I want. I need suggestions... does anyone know any champanges that have a sweeter taste?

Re: What Champange?
Well I think it is an Australian made champagne, the brand is Killawarra and theres six different flavours, strawberry, mango etc....very yummy and quite inexpensive...and i dont know about you, but after a few, champagne makes me wanna chuck! Not this one,its the champagne you drink when you cant stomach anymore champagne!!

You could always contact a winery and see if they will let you do a tasteing of different champagnes, and then you could have a good idea of what you want.

Re: What Champange?
Any brand Spumante Champagne should be good (though Cook's isn't very sweet; I'm like you, I like sweet champagne). Korbel is good and relatively inexpensive (around $8 a bottle). I'm not a big fan of Cooks, but if you want a really sweet champagne, Andre Spumante is super cheap ($3 for a smaller bottle) and has a great, sweet flavor. Of course, if you have a larger budget, you could really go crazy, but I think Korbel Sec would be your best bet.
And you could always do some taste-testing. Go to your local store and pick out a few selections in your price range. Try a different glass each night and see which you prefer.
Best of luck and let us know which one you choose!

Re: What Champange?
Just go out and buy 5 different bottles one night and test them all - that would be fun!!!!

I am in the same situation. I dont ever drink champagne or wine and I need to choose some for my wedding. I think I will go try the Korbel Sec that Nikita mentioned and let you know how it tastes!

Re: What Champange?
Yeah, let me know how it tastes too! I don't think I've tried the Sec, but reguar extra-dry Korbel is really good, so I'm assuming a slightly sweeter version would be wonderful. Not to mention, if you order it through the site in bulk, you get a 20% discout.

Re: What Champange?
If you want a really sweet semi sparkling, then Asti is the way to go, it is more of a desert wine, but is very nice for those who don't like dry wines. It also comes in a wide variety of price ranges.
