Question Beach-themed centerpieces.... HELP!!

Hi everyone!

I thought I had everything figured out, until my mom went to reserve our rental tables. The lady gave her bigger tables (seats 10 - 12) for the price of the 8 - 10 seater tables. We figure our guests will be more comfortable this way. The only problem is, the woman said we need BIG centerpieces for the bigger tables.

I have these tiny little fish bowls (maybe 3 inches wide) that I was going to sit in some sand on the table. Now I feel like that won't be big enough! Does anyone have any ideas? I'm thinking about getting bigger bowls or something to put the fish in (like large hurricanes or something), but I'm still looking for ideas.

It needs to be pretty cheap!!

Thanks,

Andrea

You could possible have a cluster of the centerpieces you were planning on using?

Cool Re: Beach-themed centerpieces.... HELP!!

Hi!

One of our specialties is beach-theme weddings, and we have a whole selection dedicated to beach wedding accessories.

Here are some ideas for you to incorporate other pieces into your centerpieces:

+ Decorate some tin buckets with beach-theme stencils and put your wedding favors in them for your guests to enjoy. For your table, you could have an oversized pail and add ice with champagne.

+ Take sand pails, oversized glasses, or other oddly shaped pieces and add floating candles into them. If you use clear glasses, you could add sand or other pebbles to the bottom to create an interesting look.

+ Turn your sand pails upside down and use them as table marker stands, if your reception is using a numbering system for your guest placement.

+ Get creative and colorful! You could decorate your tables with beach tote bags or beach gift bags. You could then fill them with breezy, tropical silk flowers, party favors, cameras, gifts for your wedding party, etc.

The idea here, is to add height to the centerpieces to give the illusion that they are large. You could, as restingdonkey suggested, build cluster centerpieces around this idea and still use your pieces.

Hope that helps fuel your creativity!!!
